Query syntax
The site: operator: keep results from one or more domains.
The query is plain text: words in any order, in any language. The one operator is site:, which keeps results from a domain. Everything else is matched as words; use the typed filter for anything more.

| Syntax | What it does | Filter equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| site:example.com | Keeps results from that registrable domain and its subdomains; the operand is removed from the words. Several site: operators are alternatives (any of them). | @domain IN ["example.com"] |
- The operand is reduced to its registrable root: site:docs.python.org and site:python.org both match python.org and every subdomain. A path or scheme in the operand is ignored.
- A site: operator and a filter apply together: the request must satisfy both.
- An operand that is not a domain stays in the query as a word; the prefix is case-insensitive.
